TOKYO SIMULATOR SALARYMAN SAGA

Learn Japanese by actually playing

You're an alien. Your disguise: a suit and tie. Your mission: blend in as an ordinary Tokyo salaryman, in a city where nothing blows your cover faster than not being able to read. A real RPG with quests, NPCs, and a story. Not just flashcards wearing a costume.

How the learning works

A full SRS you never see

Every sign you read and every conversation you survive feeds a real spaced-repetition system running under the hood. It decides what you encounter and when, so the language sticks. You just play the game.

Kanji taught in look-alike groups

Easily-confused kanji are taught together, so you learn to tell them apart from day one instead of un-learning mixups later. Mnemonics build on each other as your vocabulary grows.

Kana and the first 100 jōyō kanji

The first three levels take you from zero through katakana, hiragana, and the first 100 kanji of the full jōyō set planned across all 23 levels.

Checked by real Japanese speakers

Built by someone who has lived in Tokyo for years. Every line of Japanese in the game is checked by native speakers.

The Tokyo angle

Learn the city, not just the language

The game is set in exaggerated versions of real Tokyo neighborhoods: the people, the places, and the stuff you won't find in any guidebook. By the time you visit, you'll already know your way around.

Level 1: Akihabara

Weeb heaven. Maid cafes, idols, and manga stacked five floors high. You learn katakana here, in the district that's practically written in it.

Level 2: Ikebukuro

Anime, arcades, ornate rooftops, and always one more gacha pull. This is where you learn hiragana.

Level 3: Shinjuku

Neon canyons, izakaya alleys, kaiju, and robots. Your first kanji live here.
